A class 12 student has to score 33% overall to pass the exam. Additionally, they have to secure more than 33% in both practical and theoretical exams.
- If students are not passing in any one subject, they have to write compartment exam for the same in the month of July.

CBSE 12th Marking Scheme 2020-2021 For Arts/Humanities Stream
12th Arts paper generally consists of theoretical subjects which include psychology, history, geography, and other related subjects
- 12th Question Paper can be divided into 3 to 4 sections and the maximum marks a Student can score are 100.
- Students are provided with 3 hours to complete the test.

If students are satisfied with their performance in the CBSE 12th exam, they can apply for an improvement exam in the respective subjects. The application form for the 12th improvement exam can be filled in the month of October and November.

Criteria to Apply for Improvement in Class 12 2021
You should know that a student who has passed the CBSE Board exam in 2021 are eligible to apply for the 2021 improvement exam.
- The Student can choose more than one subject for improvement.
- The application fee will vary based on the number of subjects chosen.
- Candidates can prefer the latest or improvement result after the declaration of the CBSE 2021 Improvement result.
Students have to check the eligibility criteria as prescribed by CBSE before applying for the improvement exam. If a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her exam form will be canceled.

CBSE 12th Compartment Exam 201
CBSE will conduct the Compartment exam for class XII in June 2021 (Tentative) CBSE. Students who failed in one subject are only eligible to give a compartment of that particular subject. They will get a maximum of three chances to take the compartment exam.
