The Charted Accountancy course is one of the most reputed courses that open up great career opportunities to the students after 10+2. This course is designed to combine theoretical study with practical training. This course is considered to be one of the most rigorous professional courses in India. The institute has around 9 lakh students, studying various levels of the Chartered Accountancy Course. The Chartered Accountancy examinations are divided into three levels.
Level -1 This stage is known as CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT). CPT covers four basic subjects viz. Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. A person can register for CPC after completing Grade 10 and take the exam after completing High School (Grade 12).
Level -2 This stage is known as IPCC or Integrated Professional Competence stage. A person can take the IPCC Examination after passing CPT and nine months of study. IPCC has two groups with seven subjects in total. This is the intermediate stage of the Charted Accountancy Course.
Level -3 CA Final Examination is the last and final level of Chartered Accountancy Examinations. Any person who has passed both the groups of IPCC, during the last six months of article ship can take the Final Examination.
ICAI conducts CPT exams in June and December, IPCC and Final examinations in May and November each year.
