Your age limit should be as given below.

i) For Junior Research Fellowship: The maximum age limit to apply for JRF is 28 years as on 01.07.2019.
If you are from a reserved category, you will get the relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rule, as given below.

Educational Qualification

You should have an educational qualification as given below.

  • You must have an MSc or equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS degree or B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with an aggregate marks of 55% for General and OBC categories and 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • You should have a Bachelor’s Degree. Then you will be eligible for the Fellowship only if you have enrolled for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of two years.

You should know that if you have only a Bachelor’s Degree, then you are eligible to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS).

How To Fill CSIR NET Application Form 2019

  • 2nd Step: Now you have to click on the button – ‘Fill Online Application Form’ on the bottom of the home page.

  • 5th Step: Now, you have to enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, and other basic details. Then you should click on the Submit button to register for the CSIR NET exam.
  • 6th Step: After submission of the details, your Application Number and Password will be generated. You should use these credentials and login to your account.
  • 6th Step: Now, you have to fill in the application form with personal information, related examination details, contact details, etc. After filling these details, you have to click on the ‘Next.’
  • 7th Step: You need to upload the scanned copies of the photo, signature, mark sheets, and other required documents as per the prescribed formats.
  • 8th Step: After this, you have to submit the details. Make sure that your details are correct and verify the details entered in the preview mode. You can easily edit the details if need. Then you have to submit the application form.
  • 9th Step: Now, in this step, you should pay the application fee. You have to choose a suitable payment method and pay the fee online and download the generated fee receipt.
  • 10th Step: You should take a print out of the filled CSIR NET application form and fee receipt for future use.
