UGC NET 2021 Educational Qualification Requirement

  • You must score at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in Post-Graduation or equivalent from any recognized university.
  • If you are a Final year student, then you are also eligible to appear in the exam. But you will be accepted for the award of JRF or professorship after passing the Master’s Degree with minimum qualifying marks.
  • If you are a Ph.D. degree holder and the post-graduation exam was completed before September 19, 1991, then you are provided with an additional relaxation of 5% in minimum marks requirement.

UGC NET 2021 Age Limit

  • Assistant Professorship: You should know that there is no age limit for UGC NET Assistant Professorship.
  • Junior Research Fellowship: The upper age limit is 30 years as of Dec 1, 2020.
  • The age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories candidates as per the government of India norms.

UGC NET Exam Centers

UGC NET Exam will be held in 224 cities this June. You have to choose the four exam cities in order of their preference while filling the UGC NET 2021 Application Form. NTA will try to allow the UGC NET Exam Centre based on your preference. But it also reserves the right to allot any exam center other than the ones selected by the candidates.

Sometimes, NTA adds or cancel an exam in any city if the number of applicants for that city is negligible. You must bring your Admit Card, one passport size photo, and an original photo ID proof with its photocopy.

UGC NET Answer Key

You should know that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will release UGC NET Provisional Answer Keys along with candidates’ response sheets and question papers for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on June 24, 2020, at the official website.

  • You can raise objections online by paying a fee of INR 1000 per question till June 27, 2020.

UGC NET Result for December 2020 session will be released in July 2021. It is declared in the form of a scorecard containing marks obtained in both papers for JRF and LS.

Fill in all the information correctly in the application form.

Do not try to hide any information asked in the application form. If anyone found to be ineligible later, then you will not able to appear for the exam.

You have to download the admit card from the website and keep it safe for appearing in the exam.

Do not indulge in any wrong practice. Al the exam center would be under CCTV surveillance.

The candidates must visit the exam center a day before the test date to know the exact location of the exam center.

Do not forget to carry a UGC NET hall ticket or admit card and identity proof etc. to the exam center. Without these, you will not be allowed to enter the examination center.

Reach the exam venue at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam as per the directions given on the admit card.
