Basic Introduction

UPSC has conducted IES Prelims Exam 2020 on 5th January 2020. The main exam will be conducted on June 28, 2020. You should have the right information about the exam Centers at the time of filling the application form.

You will be allowed to enter a total of 4 preferences of your desired IES Exam Centre Code with Subject Code.

The Centre will be allotted based on your preferences and locations. You will find the Centre details in the IES Admit Card.

Here you will find the list of 2020 exam Centres for the IES Prelims and Main exam released by the UPSC.

You have to select the respective Center while filling the online IES Online Application Form.

UPSC has notified 42 prelims exam centers and 24 main exam centers for IES 2020. UPSC tries to allocate the preferred exam centers to the candidate, however, it reserves the right to allot center other than the one preferred by the candidate.

The allotted IES Exam Centerswill be mentioned on the admit card.

IES Exam Day Instructions 2020

  • You should check the e-Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately.
  • Bring this e-Admit Card in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
  • You are responsible for the safe custody of the e-Admit Card and in the event of any other person using this e-Admit Card, the onus lies on you to prove that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
  • Enter the Examination Hall 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination.
  • You should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
  • You will not be admitted to the examination if you report 10 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the examination.
  • If you appear at a center / sub-center other than the one indicated by the Commission in your e-Admit Card, your answer scripts will not be evaluated and your candidature is liable to be canceled.
  • Read the “Special Instructions for candidates admitted to the examination” given in “Rules for the Examination” available in Examination Notice and “Poster” containing instructions displayed outside the Examination Hall.
