CTET Paper 1 Syllabus 2022: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) administrated by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to recruit the teachers for Central Government Schools. One has to be aware of CTET Syllabus for attending the exam.

CTET Exam Pattern 2022 For Paper 1

CTET July 2022 Paper I Syllabus is determined on the topics taught for Grades 1 to 5, while Paper II syllabus comprises the Elementary stage. For those candidates who wish to apply for the post of teacher for classes I to VIII, they have to sit for both papers. The minimum mark required by the candidates is 60% to be qualified for the CTET Eligibility Certificate by the board.

Nature and Standand of Questions in CTET 2022 For Paper I

Some of the major details about the nature and standard of questions in the CTET exam 2022 can be checked below –

  • The nature of questions in Language I of Paper I of the CTET exam test the proficiencies of candidates pertaining to the medium of instruction.

  • The nature of questions in Language II of Paper I of CTET exam assess the candidates on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

  • The nature of questions in Child Development and Pedagogy section of CTET 2022 will be based on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. The questions in this section will test the understanding the characteristics and needs of the diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

  • CTET aspirants must note that both Language I and Language II are mandatory in the CTET exam.  A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the Confirmation Page of the CTET application form.

  • The nature of questions in Mathematics and Environmental Studies of CTET will be based on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the questions in the entrance examination will be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I-V by the NCERT.

  • For Paper I of CTET exam 2020, the questions will be asked on the basis of the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes I – V. However, their difficulty level, as well as linkages, could be up to the Secondary stage.

  • Candidates will have to opt for two languages in which they wish to appear for CTET
