UGC NET Economics Syllabus 2021: University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for the year 2021 will be conducted in the month of June and December, as per a notification released by the National Testing Agency.

The agency has successfully conducted the UGC NET exam in December 2020 through the computer-based mode for the first time. The exam is conducted for two papers – Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is common for all and tests your teaching and research ability while Paper-II is subject-specific. You should choose the post-graduation subject for Paper-II.

UGC NET Economics Exam has two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

  • The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
  • For each correct response, the candidate will get 2 marks.
  •  There is no negative marking for an incorrect response.
  • No marks will be given for questions Unanswered/ Marked for Review.
  • If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the key challenge, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit. Only for dropped question(s), if any, marks will be given to all the candidates.
