Everything About ICAI CA Final Exam

CA Final Exam 2020: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts the CA (Chartered Accountancy) professional course. The students who clear the CA final exam will become eligible to take the membership of CA by the ICAI.

ICAI has postponed the exam dates of CA Final 2020 May session due the COVID-19 outbreak. The exam will now be conducted for Group-I (old scheme) on July 29 and 31, August 3 and 5, 2020, while Group-II (old scheme) will be conducted on August 7, 9, 11 and 14, 2020.

CA Final Exam 2020

CA Final is conducted all over India in offline mode. 70% of the paper consists of descriptive questions and 30% consists of multiple-choice questions. The candidates who want to apply for CA Final must have passed Intermediate or Professional Education Examination. CA Final Registration

The eligible students can apply for the CA Final exam registration online. The registration form is available on the official website of ICAI across the year. Here, the students need to fill the online registration form along with the necessary information and then upload the required documents on the official website.

CA Final Exam Application Form

The ICAI will release the exam forms in August 2020 for the November session in online mode. The students can fill the exam form until September 2020. The students are required to upload basic information at the time of filling the CA Final Application form online along with specific necessary documents.

The students need to fill the choice of groups at the time of filling the exam form. The students also need to submit the exam fees through online mode.

CA Final Exam Pattern

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has given the CA Final exam pattern. The students preparing for the exam are advised to follow the exam pattern as given below:

  • Papers 3, 4, 7, and 8 contain 30% objective type questions.
  • Paper 6 is an elective paper & the students need to choose any one subject out of 6 as according to their preference.
  • CA intermediate exam is an offline exam which is conducted twice a year.
  • The question paper is in English or Hindi language which a student can select according to their preference.
  • Each paper is of 100 marks and the time duration is three hours for every paper.
  • The students can appear for any group or both groups according to their choice.
  • The remaining 70% weightage is of subjective type questions.
  • The objective type questions follow the MCQ pattern and maybe assigned one or more marks. There is not any negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The 1st question of each exam is mandatory and the choice of not attempting any question is given amongst the rest of the questions.
  • The students need to score 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% marks (200 for one group and 400 for both groups) to clear the exam.
