CDS Exam Centres 2023: Important Points

You should know the important points about CDS Exam Centers:

• Every exam center has limited seat capacity for students. After all, seats allocated, UPSC will no longer allocate seats to any candidate in the same center. So you should fill the CDS application form as soon as possible.
• If all the seats in a particular CDS exam center are allocated, UPSC will allocate the next exam center from your preference if the seats are not filled.
• You should know that the ceiling is not applicable for these exam centers: Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur.
• You should keep in mind that UPSC has the right to change the center if the situation demands it.
• Your exam center will be mentioned in the CDS admit card. The CDS admit card will have the name of the exam center, date, and time of reporting at the exam center.
• You will not be allowed to change the exam center.

CDS Exam Centres Guidelines

You should know the important guidelines for CDS candidates:

• You should not carry mobile phones even if it is in switched off mode.
• You should not bring any electronic items like pager/electronic equipment/programmable device/storage media (pen drive or smartwatches, etc.)/camera/Bluetooth devices/any other equipment used as a communication device, is banned.
• If you bring the above devices, you have to keep it outside the exam hall.
• If you violate the rule, you will be ban from all future exams.
• No one will be responsible for the security of your items.
• You should keep in mind that the following items are permitted inside the exam hall are:
  • Clipboard or hardboard (on which nothing is written)
  • Good quality black ball pen for marking responses on the answer sheet
• You should know that the following items are not permitted inside the exam hall are:
  • Books
  • Notes
  • Loose sheets or rough sheets pertaining to the earlier session
  • Electronic or any other type of calculators,
  • Mathematical and drawing instruments,
  • Log tables, slide rules, test booklets
  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, or any other communication devices.
