ICAI CA Intermediate Exam 2020-2021

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the revised dates for the exams of CA Intermediate 2020-2021, which were declared to be held in the month of May 2021. Now, the exams of ICAI Chartered Accountant Intermediate 2021 will be held from May 22, 2021, to June 4, 2021. The candidates are advised to prepare for their CA Intermediate 2021 Exam as per the new date sheet.

CA Intermediate Exam Eligibility

After clearing the CA Foundation, you will be eligible to register for the CA Intermediate.

There is also a direct entry route through which a candidate can enroll for Intermediate directly without going through Either CPT or CA Foundation.

1. Students who are Graduate/ Post Graduate in Commerce and secured a minimum of 55% can register directly for Intermediate without passing CA Foundation or CPT.
2. Similarly, like Commerce Graduates, Non-commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates can also register for Intermediate by securing 60% marks in Graduation/ Post Graduation.
3. Apart from the above, the students who cleared the Intermediate level of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

CA Intermediate Exam Registration Process

The students need to fill CA Foundation Exam form 2020-2021 from ICAI official website. In the CA Intermediate exam form, the students need to login/register with the help of a registration number and password. The students must fill in complete details correctly and make a payment of the application fee to complete the process.

The printout of that form is needed to be submitted to the concerned regional office duly signed by the candidate along with the following documents –

Foundation Route Procedures

1. Submit the attested copy of the Marksheet of class 12th or its equivalent Central Govt. recognized examination pass Mark statement.
2. Affix a colored and latest photograph on the hard copy of the registration form.
3. Attested copy of the proof of Nationality, if the student is a foreigner.
4. Attested copy of the proof of special category certificate i.e. SC/ST/OBC or Differently abled.

CA Intermediate Direct Entry Route Procedures

1. Submit an attested copy of the Graduation / Post Graduation Marksheet OR Marksheet or Mark statement of Intermediate level Examination of ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) or ICWAI (Institute of Cost Accountants of India)
2. One colored and latest photograph should be attested to the printout of the online registration form.
3. Attested copy of the proof of the Nationality, if the student is Foreigner.
4. Attested copy of the proof of the special category i.e. SC/ST/OBC or Differently abled.

CA Intermediate Exam | Registration Fees

The eligible students can apply for the CA Intermediate Exam registration on the official website of ICAI. Here, the students need to fill the online CA Application Form along with the necessary information and then upload the required documents on the official website.

CA Intermediate Exam | Exam Pattern Important Points

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the CA Intermediate Exam Pattern 2020-2021. Before starting the preparation of the CA Intermediate exam, the students must know the complete details of the exam pattern of the CA Intermediate so as to prepare themselves efficiently and appear for the CA Intermediate exam with the confidence to get good scores. The students must follow the below details as per the CA Intermediate exam pattern:

• CA Intermediate exam is an offline exam that is conducted twice a year.

• The question paper is in English or Hindi language which a student can select according to their preference.

• Each paper is 100 marks and the time duration is three hours for every paper.

• The students can appear for any group or both groups according to their choice.

• The CA Inter exam pattern has been changed. Now it comprises objective-type questions with a weightage of 30% in Papers 2, 4, 6, and 7.

• The remaining 70% weightage is of subjective type questions as same as earlier.

• The objective-type questions follow the MCQ pattern and may be assigned one or more marks. There is not any negative marking for wrong answers.

• The 1st question of each exam is mandatory and the choice of not attempting any question is given amongst the rest of the questions.

• The students need to score 40% marks on each paper and an aggregate of 50% marks (200 for one group and 400 for both groups) to clear the exam.
