Age Limit:

Your age limit should be as given below.

i) For Junior Research Fellowship: The maximum age limit to apply for JRF is 28 years as of 01.07.2023.
If you are from a reserved category, you will get the relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rule, as given below.

Educational Qualification

You should have an educational qualification as given below.

• You must have an MSc or equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS degree or B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree or students enrolled in an Integrated MS-PhD program with aggregate marks of 55% for General and OBC categories and 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
• You should have a Bachelor’s Degree. Then you will be eligible for the Fellowship only if you have enrolled for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of two years.

You should know that if you have only a Bachelor’s Degree, then you are eligible to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS).
