- The GATE Geology & Geophysics Syllabus consists of the following sections – General Aptitude (GA), and the Geology & Geophysics (GG) section consists of Part A and Part B.
- The GATE Geology & Geophysics paper is of 100 marks. General Aptitude is allotted 15 marks; Part A is allotted 25 marks and Part B is allotted 30 marks.
- The Part A of the GG section is compulsory for all. This section consists of 25 questions carrying 25 marks.
