A complete guide to UPSEE 2019

The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) 2019 is scheduled to be held in 3rd week of April for various courses across Uttar Pradesh. UPSEE 2019 is a common entrance exam for candidates of Uttar Pradesh opting various courses in Engineering. The application form for the entrance exam will be released in 1st week of January and the last day for submission is in March. The exam is conducted by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).

Application fees:

The application fee has increased from INR 1200 to INR 1300 for General/ Male/ OBC candidates. It has also increased from INR 600 to INR 650 for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Female candidates. Candidates successfully filling up the application form will receive the admit cards. Filling of application is online mode and payment can be made via Credit card, Debit card or Online Banking.

Eligibility Criteria:

All candidates awaiting 12th results, NRI students, outstation candidates can apply for UPSEE 2019. Candidates must have secured 45% in 12th to take up the exam.

Courses offered:

UPSEE 2019 conducts several exams for various courses which include B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharma, B.Tech(Agricultural), BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA(Integrated), Lateral entry for MBA, MCA, 2nd year B.E., B.Tech., B.Pharma.

 Exam Centers:

UPSEE 2019 will be held in various cities having both online and offline mode exam. Candidates have to make three choices for selection of examination center. The examination for lateral entry candidates will be conducted in online mode across various cities in UP while 12th passed out candidates will be having an offline exam i.e., OMR based sheet exam.

Exam Pattern:

UPSEE 2019 exam pattern for both online and offline mode remains the same. The total number of questions asked in the exam is 150 and total marks are 600 which has to be completed in 3 hours. For each correct objective question answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks while there is no deduction for the wrong answer.

Syllabus:

UPSEE 2019 syllabus depends on different courses a candidate takes up. Hence each candidate has to be well prepared with the topics from his/her stream.

Preparation Books:

A candidate has to be well versed with all topics. UPSEE exam is quite similar to IIT JEE main and advanced. So candidates can refer to those papers as well. Candidates should also be prepared with the previous year question papers, sample question papers. candidates can buy e-books or printed books online from various sites. You can even buy the study materials necessary for the preparation of exam. There are sites offering top publication books which cover all the concepts and topics.
