IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern

  • The total duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
  • Paper will be held online i.e. computer-based exam.
  • There will be 100 questions with 100 marks on the question paper.
  • All the questions will be multiple choice in nature.
  • The language of the question paper will be both i.e. Hindi and English.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark and every correct response will be awarded by 1 mark.
  • Negative marking is applicable and 0.25 marks will be deducted for the wrong attempt.

Note: If you are unable to finish the whole paper, you will not be given any additional time. There is no different time allotment for each paper unit to be completed.

  • The main exam is also an online entrance test (computer-based test).

Candidates who clear their place in this exam will be sent to the next level round of the IBPS PO Selection Process, which is also the last round to select the best contenders for the vacant positions.

IBPS PO Interview Process

Applicants who successfully reach this stage will face a round of interviews conducted by participating organizations from the IBPS PO 2023.

You should be aware that grades obtained in Phase I of the Preliminary Exam will not be added for the selection and only grades obtained in Phase II of the Main Exam will be added to Phase III of the interview (if the interview is conducted).

The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the test (main exam) and interview (if an interview is done).

IBPS PO Provisional Allotment or Merit List 2023 –

This is the final step of getting the Probationary Officer post. Here, the ceremony is done with the candidates who manage to make it to this level. Here, you will see the names of all the final candidates who cleared all the rounds successfully.

But the final joining IBPS PO Provisional Allotment or Merit List is made from doing the calculation of the ratio of the IBPS PO Mains examination and the final round of interview. This shall be divided into the proportion of the 80:20 ratio respectively.

The candidates who meet this ratio are then transferred to the final joining list according to the vacancies available in the multiple banks.
