The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2019 is conducted for law aspirants who wish to get admission into 19 NLU’s and other universities. CLAT 2019 has released the application forms for registering to the exam which will be conducted on May 12, 2019. Candidates can start their CLAT Application process by filling up the CLAT 2019 application form on the official website clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in. The CLAT Application dates have been extended and the exam dates are also rescheduled due to the Lok Sabha elections.

CLAT Application Process 2019

The CLAT Application process has begun, and the dates are extended due to General Elections. The Application form can be filled until April 15, 2019. Previously the last date to apply was March 31, 2019. Thus, candidates have enough to fill the application form as the last date to fill CLAT Application Form is April 15, 2019. Interested candidates can fill the application forms before the last date. Candidates willing to take up five years or three year LLB Programme by getting admission to various National Law Universities across India can fill the application forms available on the official website. The applications have to be submitted through online only from the clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in website.

The CLAT 2019 exam dates have been rescheduled due to the Elections. The revised CLAT 2019 exam date is May 26, 2019. Earlier, the CLAT 2019 exam date was May 12, 2019. Now the exam dates are rescheduled. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination conducted in the month of March/April 2019 are also eligible to take up CLAT 2019 examination. But, they must provide proof of their passing the examination during the admission. If not producing necessary documents, those candidates will not be considered for examination.

According to the information provided by the board, the CLAT 2019 examination is an offline mode exam conducted from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on May 12, 2019.

CLAT Application Process: Application Fee

The application fee for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates is Rs 4,000/-

The application fee for SC/ST/BPL category candidates is Rs 3,500/-

Application Fees must be paid only through online mode by credit cards, debit cards or net banking and the amount is not refundable.

List of Documents Required

  • Front facing passport size recent photograph with a plain background.
  • Signature of the Applicant.
  • Category Certificate if applying under SC/ST/OBC.
  • Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if applying under the PWD category.
  • Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if applying under the BPL category.
  • Relevant certificate for the respective State of Domicile.

Eligibility

For UG Program
  • As per revised rule, there is no upper age limit for taking up the CLAT 2019 examination.
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2  or any equivalent examination.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/ May 2019 are also eligible to appear in CLAT exam.
For PG Program
  • As per revised rule, there is no upper age limit for taking up the CLAT 2019 examination.
  • Candidate must have an LLB or any other equivalent degree.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2019 are also eligible to appear in the exam. But, they must show the hard copy of the proof of their passing the qualifying examination in the respective National Law Universities at the time of admission.

As the CLAT Application process is extended, candidates have enough time to fill their applications. Candidates more time to prepare for exams, as the exam dates have been rescheduled.
