Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) 2015 to be held in June

The Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun has announced the dates for its State Entrance Examination (UKSEE 2015). The examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 18 and 19.

The UKSEE will be held for admissions into Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHMCT), Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), for the session of 2015. The examination also offers admissions directly into the second or third year of B.Tech, B.Pharm and MCA, this is only for the candidates who have completed a three-year diploma in engineering, or any equivalent qualification; known as lateral entry.

Eligibility criteria:

Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHMCT): The candidates should have passed Class 12 examination, or any equivalent qualification. They must have a minimum score of 45 percent in the qualifying examination.

Master of Computer Application (MCA): The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, with a duration of minimum three years. They should have scored at least 50 percent in the qualifying examination. The candidates must have mathematics either in their Class 12 examination or during their graduation.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm): The candidates should have passed Class 12 examination with science subjects. They must have physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination.

Lateral entry (MCA): The candidates should have a degree in BCA or B.Sc in information technology or computer science. The candidates must have mathematics either in their Class 12 examination or during their graduation. They should have a minimum score of 50 percent in the qualifying examination.

Application procedure: The candidates can get the admission forms from the GPOs in their city. The candidates have to submit the duly filled form to Uttarakhand Technical University.

Application fee: The candidates in the General and OBC categories have to pay a fee of Rs 1,125 and the SC and ST candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 625.

Important dates:

The last date of receipt of applications is May 30 by 5 pm
The UKSEE will be held on June 18 and 19
The result will be declared on June 25
