Steps to Fill UPSC CDS Application Form

The UPSC CDS Application Form can be completed in two stages: the first part and the second part. In the first part of registration, candidates must fill in their basic information. In the second part, the applicant must pay the registration fee, choose the test center, upload photos, signature, photo ID card, and application. The steps to complete the two parts of the application form are as follows:-

First Part: Registration for UPSC CDS 2021

a) Visit the official website upsc.gov.in
b) Click on the Part I link to register for the UPSC CDS exam.
c) Enter your personal details, address, and education level to apply for UPSC CDS online.
d) Applicants must also choose their preferred branch.
e) Check the details before submitting the registration form.
f) If the registration is successful, a registration ID will be generated.

Second Part: Fee payment, test center selection, uploading images

If the registration is successful, a registration ID will be generated. Now, the applicant needs to log in with the generated registration ID to proceed with the second part of the UPSC CDS application process.

  1. The Candidates must pay the online application fee through SBI Net banking or by cash.
  2. If a candidate wants to pay the fees in cash, then he/she should take the printout of challan which would be generated online after completion of the registration process.
  3. The Candidates are required to go to the nearest SBI branch for depositing the fee after 24 hours of generation of challan.
  4. The Pay by cash mode option gets deactivated a day before the exam.
  5. However, the candidates who have already generated their pay-in-slip before it gets de-activated then they may pay at the counter of the SBI Branch during the working hours on the closing date of the UPSC CDS application process.
