SSC Junior Hindi Translator Eligibility Criteria:

To apply SSC Jounior Hindi Translator recruitment 2019, you should have the following criteria

Nationality / Citizenship: You must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a residence of Nepal, or
  3. a resident of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came before the 1st January 1962, intending to settle in India permanently, or
  5. An immigrant from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with Indian origin. The person should have the intention of permanently settling in India.

If you belong to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e), then you must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit: Your maximum age limit should be 30 years.

Educational Qualifications For Junior Hindi Translators (CSOLs):

Essential: 

(I) (a) You have to complete a Master’s Degree from a recognised University or equivalent in Hindi or English. Also, you should have English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level
OR 
(b) You should have Master’s Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi / English with Hindi / English medium and English / Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level
OR 
(c) You have to accomplish Master’s Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi / English with Hindi and English as a compulsory/elective subject / either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level;
and,

(II) You should have a recognised Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa. You should also have two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government Offices, including Government of India Undertakings.

(III)(d)You should complete the Master’s degree of a recognised University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level,
Or
(e)You must have a Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects

(IV) (f) You must have Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognised University or Institute, and you should also have Master‟s degree in any subject from a recognised University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognised University/ Institute.
OR
(g) You should have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised University or Institute plus You should also have Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognised University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognised University/ Institute.

Desirable: You should have two years’ experience of teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognised educational Institution.
