SNAP Exam Guide 2019: Are you preparing for the SNAP exam? Do you want to pursue MBA from Symbiosis? SNAP exam will be held on 15 December 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The SNAP application form was released on 16 August 2019.

SIU is one of the most prestigious institutes in the country. It has 16 Symbiosis institutes. The application process for the SNAP exam is fully online. The online application was started on 16 August 2019, and it will end on 23 November 2019.

Eligibility Criteria SNAP Exam

Before applying for the SNAP 2019, you should know about the eligibility criteria. Make sure that you have met all criteria before online application.

  • You should be a graduate from a recognized/statutory University or Institution with a minimum of 50% or equivalent grade. If you are from SC/ST category, then you must have a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade.
  • If you are a final year graduate student then you can also apply for the exam. But your admission will be provisional. If you do not fulfill the above criteria, your admission will be canceled.
  • You have to meet the eligibility criteria of your desired program, as set by the institute.
  • There is no age limit to appear for SNAP.
  • Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates can also apply.

SNAP Application Form

The application form is fully online. You should follow the steps as under to apply for the exam:

  • 1st Step: You have to visit the official website – https://www.snaptest.org/.
  • 2nd Step: You should click on “Apply Now.”
  • 3rd Step: You will see that a new page is opened. You have to click on the “Register” button under ‘New User? Register Here’.
  • 4th Step: You should read the instructions carefully and then check the box against the statement saying that you agree to the terms and conditions.
  • 5th Step: Now you should click on the “I Agree.”
  • 6th Step: Here, you have to enter your Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Category.
  • 7th Step: In this step, you have to select your test city preferences. You can choose up to three cities.
  • 8th Step: You should upload a current passport size photo of yourself (not older than three months). The photograph should be between 5 KB to 5 MB.
  • 9th Step: you have to click on “Save & Continue.”
  • 10th Step: You should verify the details and click on “OK.”
  • 11th Step: You will see a new page will open asking you to submit an OTP. The OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. You have to enter the OTP in the required field and click on “Submit.”
  • 12th Step: You will see a page displaying your SNAP ID, and an Email ID will open. Note the SNAP ID. Then you have to click on “Click Here to Make Payment.” You can also opt to make the payment later.
  • 13th Step: Now, you have to select your mode of payment and pay the SNAP application fee.

After completion of the online payment process, you need to register and choose the courses/programs and institutes you want to get admission. You have to pay a separate fee of Rs 1000 per course per institute for this.

Application Fee For SNAP Exam

The SNAP application fee is Rs 1750.

You can be paid online through various online or offline mode through:

  • Billdesk Payment Gateway
  • Easebuzz Payment Gateway
  • Indian Bank Payment Gateway
  • Demand Draft (from any Nationalized Bank in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune)

You should apply for the exam at the earliest in order to avoid any issue due to high traffic to the official website at the last moment.

Exam Pattern

You should note that the SNAP exam pattern changes frequently. This year SNAP exam contains objective type questions. These are

  • 105 Normal Questions (MCQs with four options),
  • 5 Special Questions (which will have blanks to be filled using a virtual keyboard).

You should keep in mind the following points about the paper pattern:

  • The exam is online and computer-based.
  • The total time duration is 2 hours.
  • Your .25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Admit Card

SNAP admit card will be published on 2nd December 2019. You can easily download it from the official website of SNAP. You can easily download your hall ticket till 15th December 2019.

You should download the hall ticket as earliest as possible to avoid last minutes rush. Because without the admit card, the authorities will not allow you to enter the exam hall. Also, the admit card is needed for GE-PIWAT processes.

SNAP Result & Further Rounds

The SNAP result in 2019 will be declared in the online mode. You will able to download your SNAP scorecard PDF from the official website. The authority will declare the result on 10th January 2020. You have to log in to their website using your SNAP ID and Password.

Every Institute will release a list of shortlisted candidates. These shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the following rounds:

  • Group Exercise (GE)
  • Personal Interaction (PI)
  • Writing Ability Test (WAT)

You have passed all round for final admission.

Merit List & Final Selection For SNAP Exam

Every institute will publish SNAP merit lists based on the performance of the candidates in all the rounds of the selection process and according to category. You should know that the final list will be prepared by considering various factors as below.

  • 50% weightage will be given to SNAP Online Test,
  • 30% to Personal Interaction,
  • 10% to Group Exercise,
  • 10% to Writing Ability Test.
