Quadrilaterals Introduction

Quadrilaterals consecutive or adjacent sides

There are four vertices in a quadrilateral, but every vertex is created by connecting the endpoints of two edges. The two edges of the quadrilateral are known as the adjacent sides or consecutive sides of a quadrilateral.

Opposite Sides of a Quadrilateral

Two sides or edges of a quadrilateral are known as opposite sides or edges if they do not have a constant endpoint.

Both particular triangles have an angle total of 180°. Therefore, the cumulative angle sum of the quadrilateral is 360°. Angle sum is one of the attributes of quadrilaterals.
