SECTION – I
QI) a) With the help of neat diagram, explain the working of programmable pacemaker. 
b) Draw and explain the heart-lung machine model.
Q2) a) It is required to set up an ICU for 8 beds. Elaborate the implementation plans. 
b) What is a synchronized dc defibrillator? Draw a block diagram of it and explain its working? 
Q3) a) Explain the need and working of an ‘Autoanalyser’. 
b) With the help of graph, explain the basic working principle of a pulse oximeter. [R]
c) Explain the working of an In-Vivo type of oximeter with the help of a suitable diagram. 
Q4) a) Describe with the help of neat waveform various modulation techniques for a typical Telemedicine System. 
b) Explain the conductivity type blood cell counter for RBC and WBC measurement. 
Explain the principle of CT-scanning. How it overcomes the drawback of X-Ray imaging? 
What is the role of ‘Hounsfield number’ in image reconstruction? 
Describe the various components of X-ray machine. 
Draw the diagram of image intensifier and explain how it helps to improve the image qualify in fluoroscopy.

With the help of a suitable block diagram, explain the working of Gamma camera.
