SECTION – II
With the help of interfacing diagram and its ‘C’ program explain the temperature controller using PIC. 
Explain the selection criteria for processors of Automotive system.  What is the use of watch dog timer and interrupts in ECU. 
With the help of interfacing diagram and its ‘C’ program explain RPM indication using Timer / Counter of PIC. 
State and explain software and hardware defugging techniques.  State and explain an algorithm for PWM technique using PIC. 
Write short notes on following in context with Automotive system.

Explain the recent trends in Automotive buses such as OBDII and MOST.
Compare architectural features of ARM 9 and ARM cortex. 
Distinguish between CAN, LIN and Flex Ray buses. 
What do you mean by diagnostic systems? Explain on board diagnostics.  Explain various safety norms and standards for Automotive System. 
Explain in detail passenger comfort and security system.
