NIMCET Notification 2020

The NITs has published NIMCET Notification 2019 test for admission to their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme. You should know that the ten NITs participate in NIMCET.

NIMCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • You should be an Indian Nationals having at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST) in the following degrees:
    • Full-time B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of three years duration (minimum) from a recognised University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects (OR)
    • E./ B.Tech. from a recognised University.

NIMCET Application Form 2020

You have to follow the step by step guide as given below to apply online for NIMCET 2020.

  • You can register yourself for NIMCET 2020 from the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test official website – nimcet.in.
  • You have to submit your personal Email ID and Mobile Number. You will receive an email on your personal Email ID. In the email, a web link will be provided for the registration process.
  • By clicking on the link, the applicant will be directed to the webpage where he/she will first set the password and choose the security question and submit its answer.
  • After this, you will be directed to the application page. You need to fill all the details correctly.
  • After filling the Application Form, you need to upload all the relevant documents such as,
    • Photograph,
    • Signature,
    • Proof of identity,
    • Proof of date of birth (SSLC/ 10th Marks Card),
    • All other marks cards etc.,
    • The Category/ Caste/ PwD certificate(s), whichever is applicable.
  • Lastly, you need to pay online for the NIMCET application fee and submit the application form online.

You should note that the NIMCET 2020 application form will be released by 1st week of March 2020 (Tentatively).

NIMCET Notification 2020 Application Fee

The application processing fee for NIMCET 2020 is different based on category.

  • 2,200/- for OPEN/OBC category candidates,
  • 1,100/- for SC/ST/PwD category candidates.

You need to pay the fee in the online mode through the official website only.

NIMCET 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam will have 120 multiple choice questions covering the below four subjects from NIMCET Notification 2020.

  • Mathematics: 50 Questions
  • Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
  • Computer Awareness: 10 Questions
  • General English: 20 Questions

You should know that the exam is conducted in the English language.

Each question has four marks. You one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. You need to mark the responses in the OMR sheet using black or blue ink ballpoint pen only.

NIMCET 2019 Admit Card

If you have registered successfully for the exam, then you can download NIMCET Admit Card from April 14-25, 2019. NIMCET Hall Ticket is available on the official website. You should know that the authority will not be going to send the hall to candidates by post.

You need to follow the essential steps as given below to download the Admit Card:

  • Firstly, you have to enter into their official website nimcet.in
  • Now, you need to log in using valid credentials

  • You have to take a print out if all details are correct

NIMCET has three rounds of the online counselling process, and students are notified of the same accordingly.

Essential Steps in Counselling Process include:

  • You have to register for the counselling session on the official website.
  • You can lock your order of preference of NITs between June 10 to 14, 2019.
  • You need to pay an initial fee of INR 10000/- and present the receipt of the same at the time of the counselling.
  • You should have the following documents to appear for remote reporting:
    • Original academic documents
    • Proof of Date of Birth
    • Caste and relevant certificates for verification
