LIC AAO Eligibility Criteria 2023

a. Nationality

The candidate who is applying for the LIC AAO exam must be a citizen of India to be eligible for the same. 

b. LIC AAO Age Criteria

Minimum Age- 21 years

Maximum Age- 30 years

Note- This is calculated for the candidates who have been born on or after 2nd February 1990 and on or before February 1st of 1999.

Age Relaxation

There is an age relaxation which is based on the category to which a candidate belongs and this is for the upper age limit. This has been tabulated below in the table.

LIC AAO Educational Qualification

  • For AAO ( Chartered Accountant): The candidates who are applying for the post of Chartered Accountant must have a bachelor’s degree and this should be from a recognized University of India. The candidate must have also passed the final examination and must ensure that he is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The membership number must be given by the candidates so that the same can be verified. Another requirement is that the candidate must have a Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English at Bachelor’s Degree level as one of the subjects. 
  • For AAO (Actuarial) – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate must have passed more than six papers of the examination which is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. The membership must be provided by the candidate in order to be verified.
  • For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM. This should be from a recognized Indian University/Institution and the candidate must also have three years of Bar experience.
  • For AAO (Rajbhasha): The candidate applying for this post must have any qualification given below. 
    1. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level.
    2. Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.
  • For AAO (IT): The candidate should have a degree of graduation from a recognized University of India in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science).

Experience Required

The candidate must have prior 3 years of experience in this field of service in order to be eligible for the LIC AAO exam.
