State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest commercial bank in India in terms of assets, deposits, profits, branches, customers and employees. In 1806, Bank of Calcutta (later Bank of Bengal) was founded, and in 1921, it merged with banks of Madras and Bombay to form Imperial Bank of India. In 1955, SBI was created by an act of Parliament to succeed Imperial Bank of India.
Recruitment of 2313 Probationary Officers in State Bank of India ( Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2016-17/19 )
SBI PO preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on April 29, April 30, May 6 and May 7. The exam will consist of 100 objective questions based on English language, quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability. 1 marks allotted for every correct answer & for each wrong answer 0.25 mark is deducted. Duration of exam will be 60 minutes.
SBI PO Mains exam is scheduled to be held on June 4. The exam will consist of 250 marks consisting of an objective test of 200 marks followed by a descriptive test of 50 marks based on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness and English Language and. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates must answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. The Descriptive Test will be administered, immediately after completion of Objective Test.The exam questions will 1 marks allotted for every correct answer & for each wrong answer 0.25 mark is deducted. Duration of exam will be 180 minutes.
Candidate having graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government are eligible to attempt.
The State Bank of India (SBI) will release the admit cards of Probationary Officers(PO) preliminary exam on April 15. The candidates can download the admit cards from the official website: sbi.co.in
