International Business Law

With the advent of 21st century, the international aspects of economics, has acquired an hitherto never before importance and controversial halo. The phenomenon of economic globalisation has thus come to assume worldwide financial linkages.

As a global body, the UN has framed an international economic policy, one that carries a statutory obligation on the member states to implement the same. Recent developments in the world economy, however, raises some concerns – one that have preoccupied international economists for more than two centuries, such as, the nature of the merits of free trade vis-à-vis protection. International economics, however, has ushered in an interplay of events and ideas which, in turn, has thrown up new models of analysis. The most notable of them being - new theories of foreign trade based on increasing returns and market structure rather than comparative advantage.
