This little book is an attempt to supply accurate, up-to-date information as to the source and make-up of commercial fertilizers. Special stress is laid on the effects of fertilizers on soils and crops in the hope of aiding the user in making a wise choice for his individual soil and cropping conditions. A fertilizer should satisfy the requirements of the particular crop to be grown. Farmers are urged to consider the interrelationship between crops and the effects of the residues from fertilizers used for one crop on those which follow.
