he Book 'Construction and Concrete Technology' consists of four sections. Each section deals with different aspects of construction and Concreted Technology. The section A intends to acquaint the student in managementoriented course with all fundamental concepts necessary to understand and use PERT CPM scheduling techniques. The section B and C are devoted to Concrete Technology describing various aspects of concrete making materials, properties of concrete testing of concrete mixes, principles of concrete onix design and various methods of mix design etc. The last section attempts at familiarising the students with heavy Construction and various machinery and equipments required for heavy construction. The book has been sub-divided into nine chapters to facilitate the understanding of the subject matter. The main purpose of the text is to provide the readers with basic principles and sufficient information on all aspects of construction and concrete technology in the light of vast and rapid infrastructural development in the country. As most of the information has been derived from many sources or agencies individuals and publications included . I wish to express my gratitude to all contributing the information. I acknowledgement with sincerity the assistance received from many quarters in the preparation of the book. SYLLABUS CONSTRUCTION AND CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY CE-210-F L T P Sessional 50 Marks Total 150 Marks
3 1 - Theory 100 Marks Duration of Exam 3 Hrs
NOTE Examiner will set 9 questions in total, with two questions from each section and one question covering all sections which will be Q.1. This Q.1 is compulsory and of short answers type. Each question carries equal mark 20 marks . Students have to attempt 5 questions in total at least one question from each section.
