Present edition of the book has been thoroughly revised and enlarged. It has been attempted to include the modern techniques of building construction in practice. Chapters 17, 18, 25, 30 and 31 have been re-written and Chapter 33 on ‘‘Recent trends in Building Construction’’ has been added. All other chapters have been revised completely with addition of many more figures and photographs. Authors expect that this edition of the book will be quite helpful in giving the basic and modern concept of building construction to the students.
