Banking And Finance Paper - III by Dr. Mukund Mahajan
Book Summary:

The T.Y.B. Com students will be studying the new (revised) course from the academic year 2015-2016. The present book is written for the third paper entitled “Banking and Finance (P-III)”. In keeping with my previous experience, I must add that though the book meets the immediate need of the T.Y.B. Com students. It is going to be useful for other students of Banking and Finance, at the graduate and post-graduate levels as well as at other competitive examinations either in the financial sector or in the administrative sector.

late, the Banking System in India has undergone several changes and turmoils too. As a result the scope of the subject has considerably increased. Moreover, the element of dynamism in this system has become so dominant that no mechanism or arrangement can be said to be settled or stabilised. As such, the task of putting together the entire structure of the Indian Banking System and bringing it up-to-date was very difficult and challenging. Another problem was to compress the vast material in a manageable form and yet make it comprehensive and comprehensible, at the same time. I can only vouchsafe that, on my part, I have not left any stone unturned and tried my best to do this tight-rope walking. I hope the book would be useful to the students and teachers, as usual, and they will appreciate and take the benefit of all the toil and trouble that has gone into the making of this book.

readers would find the arrangement of topics as well as the layout useful for understanding and remembering the subject-matter. The entire syllabus is covered and full justice is accorded to every topic under study.
