Electronics has been growing exponentially in terms of new technology, ideas, principles and applications. Digital electronics and further Digital Circuit Design is an integral part in the development of Electronics. The authors therefore have great pleasure in presenting a book of “Digital Circuit Design” (EL212) Paper II for Semester I. It is written as per new syllabus of University of Pune.

The book assumes the prior knowledge of basic digital electronics and keeping that thing in mind, we have tried our best to explain the various topics in Digital Circuit Design. Suitable examples are given wherever necessary.

Digital circuits are classified into two groups combinational circuit and sequential circuit. Chapter one deals with design aspects of various combinational circuits like code converters, parity checker and magnitude comparator. Whereas sequential circuits are described in chapter two. The designing of counters using state machine and different counters is presented in this chapter.
