Alternatively, it explains the possibility of an event happening as per past data.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"experiment-or-trial\"><\/span><strong>Experiment or Trial<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This is a set of actions in which the results don\u2019t remain certain. Similarly, the sample point can be any of the probable results.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"examples-related-to-the-rd-sharma-chapter-25-class-9-maths-exercise-251-solutions\"><\/span><strong>Examples Related to the RD Sharma Chapter 25 Class 9 Maths Exercise 25.1 Solutions<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ques- A coin is rolled 1000 times with the below sequence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Head- 455<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tail- 545<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Compute the probability of each event.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The coin is rolled 1000 times, which means, number of trials is 1000 (thousand).<\/p>\n<p>Let us consider the event of getting head and getting tail to be A and B.<\/p>\n<p>No. of favorable outcome = No. of trials in which the A happens = 455<\/p>\n<p>So, Probability of A = (Number of favorable outcomes) \/ (Total no. of trials)<\/p>\n<p>F(A) = 455\/1000 = 0.455<\/p>\n<p>Similarly,<\/p>\n<p>No. of favorable outcome = No. of trials in which the B happens = 545<\/p>\n<p>Probability of the event getting a tail, F(B) = 545\/1000 = 0.545<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ques- Two coins are tossed simultaneously 500 times with the below frequencies of different outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Two heads- 95 times<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>One tail- 290 times<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>No head- 115 times<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Get the probability of occurrence of each of these events.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We know that the Probability of any event = (No. of favorable outcome)\/ (Total no. of trials)<\/p>\n<p>Total no. of cases = 95 + 290 + 115 = 500<\/p>\n<p>Now,<\/p>\n<p>F(Getting two heads) = 95\/500 = 0.19<\/p>\n<p>F(Getting one tail) = 290\/500 = 0.58<\/p>\n<p>F(Getting no head) = 115\/500 = 0.23<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ques- In the cricket match, a batsman hits a boundary 6 times out of 30 balls he plays.
