It may be open or closed.<\/p>\n<p>(ii) Non-Simple Curve: The curve that intersects itself while changing its direction is known as the Non-Simple Curve.<\/p>\n<p>(iii) Open Curve: A curve that has 2 endpoints &amp; when it does not enclose the area within itself it is called an open curve.<\/p>\n<p>(iv) Closed Curve: It has no endpoints &amp; when it encloses the region or area will form.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Polygon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is a closed figure built of line segments not curves in a two-dimensional plane. At least 3 line segments are needed to link end to end to create a closed figure. Therefore, a polygon with at least 3 sides is called Triangle &amp; it is also known as 3-gon. An n-sided polygon is known as n-gon.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Regular Polygon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If each side &amp; interior angle of the polygon is equal, it is called a regular polygon. Examples of regular polygons are rhombus, square, equilateral triangle, etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Irregular Polygon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If each side &amp; the interior angle of the polygon are of different measure, it is called an irregular polygon.
