The first type of merit list is for counseling under 15% All India Quota. The names of all the candidates who had opted for this quota will be sent to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Only after this, the candidate will be allocated a seat after the online counseling round.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. The second type of merit list is for the candidates who didn&#8217;t opt for the above Quota. NTA will send the AIR to DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Further, the admission committees will look into sending applications for counseling to all the selected candidates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Later, these committees based on the counseling round will release a separate merit list based on which finally medical seats will be allotted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counseling for All India Quota seats, while state counseling committees handle state quota seats.
