Subject: Investor Education and Protection Fund (Awareness and Protection of Investors) Amendment Rules, 2007<\/p>\n

Notification<\/b><\/p>\n
In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a) and (b) of Sub-section (1) of Section 642 read with Sub-section (3) of Section 205C of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment further to amend the Investor Education and Protection Fund (Awareness and Protection of Investors) Rules, 2001, namely:-<\/p>\n
1. (1) These rules may be called the Investor Education and Protection Fund (Awareness and Protection of Investors) Amendment Rules, 2007.<\/p>\n
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n
2. In the Investor Education and Protection Fund (Awareness and Protection of Investors) Rules, 2001, in rule 7, in sub-rule (1), clause (f), shall be re-lettered as clause (g) thereof, and before clause (g) as so re-lettered, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-<\/p>\n
\u201c(f) Proposals for setting up of institutional arrangements or infrastructure for taking up programmes, projects and action plans keeping in view the objectives and expenditure relating thereto, including research and training activities;\u201d.<\/p>\n
