UPSC CISF Syllabus 2021: The candidates who are applying for the UPSC CISF exam must be well aware of the UPSC Syllabus and the exam pattern of the same. This UPSC CISF syllabus and pattern is set by the UPSC itself. We have provided the candidates with the UPSC syllabus and the pattern of the exam in this article. This is in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs. If the candidate is well aware of the UPSC AC CISF syllabus and the exam pattern then they can perform well in the exam.
The examination for UPSC CISF assistant commandant is open for the candidates who clear all the stages of the examination. The exam for this post consists of 3 stages which a candidate needs to qualify. These three stages are:
Stage -I: Written-test
Stage -II: Physical efficiency test
Stage-III: Personality Test/ Interview
The stage one or the round one of the CISF examination consists of another 2 papers. These papers are in the written test of the CISF exam. The two papers are as follows:
Paper-I: Objective type
Paper-II: Descriptive type
The major details for the CISF stage -1 are given in the table below:

The number of questions which will be asked in the paper 1 of the CISF exam will be 200 and the time duration of the paper will be 2 hours. More details are given in the table below:

The Round 2 of the examination will consist of the physical efficiency test and the medical efficiency test.

If the candidates want to be eligible for the physical efficiency test then they have to pass some of the physical standards which are given below.
(a) height
(b)weight
(c)eye-sight
(d)hearing ability.
The Nodal Authority supervises the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. This authority will be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
This test is given by those candidates who qualify the physical efficiency test, as well as the medical standards. This stage of the exam will be carrying 150 Marks. A Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be issued to those candidates who are shortlisted in the personality test or the interview. In this Application form they will be required to short list their preference of Forces.
The CISF exam will most probably be conducted in the month of August for the year 2021. As the UPSC CISF syllabus is vast so the candidates need to focus on the important topics first and then go about the others. Proper allocation to every topic and subject should be there. Also as per the UPSC CISF syllabus of 2021, there will be two papers in the CISF Exam. Only eligible candidates can appear for the exam.
Paper-I: General Ability and intelligence and Professional skill (Multiple type questions)
Paper-II: Essay, Precis writing, and comprehension ( Descriptive type)

There is also in-house recruitment in UPSC. This is called Limited Departmental Competitive Examination. It is taken to fill the vacancies of Assistant Commandant (Executive). This vacancy number depends upon the required criteria and it is also changed annually.
The exam pattern is the same for CISF AC (EXE) LDCE as the CAPF exam pattern. The exam will be of 3 rounds:
Round – I: Written Exam
Round -II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standard Test
Round -III: Personal Ability Test / Personal Interview
The syllabus is the same for PET and Personal Ability Test as CAPF.
