The selection process of RRB Group D candidates is divided into 4 stages, i.e., CBT, PET, Document verification, and finally, medical examination.
CBT or computer-based test comprises of 100 questions and has different sections like

This exam has a duration of 90 minutes and also follows a negative marking scheme. For every wrong answer, 1/3rd marks of the answer will be deducted.
PET is the Physical Efficiency Test and all those who have qualified for the CBT are eligible for this test. It is the second round of selection for RRB Group D. It is a compulsion for the candidates to qualify at this stage, but marks obtained in this round will not be considered for the final selection process of the RRB Group D exam.
All the candidates who have cleared the PET will now be eligible for document verification.
All the selected candidates will go under medical examination and all those who clear it will be offered a letter of appointment.
To clear the RRB Group D exam, all the candidates must prepare it in a specific way. Here are some exam preparation tips that will surely help you in getting selected for the interview round.
Knowing all about the exam is the first thing you need to know before you begin with your exam preparation. This means you have to check all the details like eligibility criteria, exam syllabus, exam pattern, and timeline.
After this, go through the previous year's question papers and identify the RRB Grade D exam pattern. Go through different articles, related to the RRB Group D examination and get the required information.
To build a strong base, always, I repeat, always begin with NCERTs. You will get all the basic conceptual knowledge from there, irrespective of your background.
After going through the NCERTs, start doing practice questions. NCERTs might not be very helpful in this case. That’s why you should study from additional help books and enhance your practical knowledge. Plus, these books come with unsolved question papers as well. Solve them and check your progress.
Another important thing is constant revision. Make notes, revise them, then revise the previous topics once again to polish those concepts.
Start giving mock tests, at least two months before your RRB Grade D. Perform the test just like an actual exam and check your weaknesses and strengths. Brush up on the concepts which you might have missed. This will help you in time and anxiety management during your actual exam.
