Candidates from the General / EWS category and candidates from the reserved category applying for unreserved posts must have at least 60% aggregate marks in their minimum qualifying degree, while candidates applying for reserved posts must have at least 50% aggregate marks in their minimum qualifying degree.
Age limits:
All candidates applying for engineering positions must meet the age limit specified by RITES in its official notification. Candidates must be under the age of 30 years to be considered for this position.
All applications received will be screened, and candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to take a written test. Candidates will be called for a personal interview based on their performance in the written test.

The appointment of selected candidates is solely dependent upon their medical fitness fulfillment as per the company's policy.
The syllabus for the written test is not specified in RITES' official notification, but it can be predicted by reviewing previous years' papers. The paper includes questions from five different subjects: general English, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and a post-related subject (i.e. Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
