7 US Colleges and Universities with Strange Rules

Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah):  BYU is a private university owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has a strict honor code that includes rules against consuming alcohol, tobacco, coffee, and tea.

Bob Jones University (Greenville, South Carolina):  Bob Jones University is a Christian fundamentalist university that has historically held strict rules on dating and marriage.

St. John's College (Annapolis, Maryland, and Santa Fe, New Mexico):  St. John's College follows a unique Great Books curriculum, where students focus primarily on reading and discussing influential texts in Western literature, philosophy, and science.
