Economics of Development       

Objective: This course will introduce students to the field of development economics by

providing an in-depth knowledge of economic growth and development with primary

focus on the growth model and its applicability in India.

Contents:  Economics of Development: Concepts and Approaches; Growth Model;

Development Theories; Domestic and International Measures for Economic

Development; Role of State in Economic Development; Population Growth and

Economic Development; Poverty and Unemployment.
