NEET 2019 will be conducted for the first time in offline mode i.e. pen and paper mode. Which implies that candidates will receive an OMR sheet wherein they have to mark the responses.
The exam will be conducted in a single session on May 5, 2019. All questions will be multiple choice based which implies there will be four options to each question and among those four options, one will be right as deemed by the conducting body.
Candidates who are citizens of India, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals are eligible to take NEET 2019. Candidate appearing for NEET should have Qualified 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subject in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
Minimum Age Requirement is 17 years as on December 31, 2019. Maximum Age Limit* 25 years of age or more for unreserved category candidates and 30 years of age for reserved and PwD category candidates.
The upper age limit criteria has been removed by the Supreme Court, for the time being, which allows candidates to appear for the exam. The final decision of the Supreme Court is still pending.
